Your go-to freelance copywriter for super-readable copy that informs and inspires people to act.

Is your copy stale? Lacklustre? Flatter than a failed soufflé? Great content, like great desserts, takes time and effort – so if you’re juggling multiple facets of a business or swapping hats in a busy role, chances are your copy isn’t getting the TLC it deserves.

Whether it’s weaving an immersive story or selling a new home, product or service, having a copywriter focused on this aspect of your business can make a vital difference to its success. I’ll keep your content fresh and consistent, so you can focus on the parts of your role that you do best.

And as a graphic designer, I can also go beyond your typical copywriting services. If you need an email template design, social media tiles or business cards in addition to your copy needs, just ask! I often provide design services along with copywriting, and you benefit from having one go-to person for all your content needs.

The process of working together

This is the typical process I follow when working with a new client:

Step 1 – Scope the project by call or email.
In the initial call or emails we’ll discuss your project needs, including timelines and budgets, so I can put together a relevant proposal.

Step 2 – I send you a proposal.
This will outline the scope of the work discussed, and include a fixed-price quote so there are no surprises along the way (assuming the brief doesn’t significantly change). If you decide to proceed, a 50% deposit is required to activate the job.

Step 3 – It’s time for the creative briefing.
I’ll send you a briefing questionnaire; you don’t have to fill it out yourself, but it will give you a heads up as to what I’ll ask you. We’ll usually hop on a call at this part so I can learn everything I need to know about your business, product or campaign to ensure I have everything I need to give you the best result.

Step 4 – You receive a first draft of copy.
Expect it to be about 80% there (if more, woo hoo!). Here you can provide feedback and we collaborate on refining it.

Step 5 – Revisions
Two rounds of revisions are included, if necessary.

Step 6 – I hand over approved copy.
And we’ve made it! Usually this is when I’ll invoice the outstanding payment, unless we have agreed on another arrangement.
